Description
The epithelium serves as the interface between the body and the external environment, covering all external surfaces and internal lumina. Epithelial cells, depending on their tissue of origin, perform various functions such as absorption, secretion, protection, transcellular transport, and sensation.

Human Tracheal Epithelial Cells (HTECs) from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the surface epithelium of healthy human tracheas, cryopreserved at passage 1, and shipped frozen. Each vial contains a minimum of 0.5 x 10^6 cells. These cells are tested and confirmed negative for HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi. They are guaranteed to achieve at least 12 population doublings under the conditions specified by Creative Bioarray.
