Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Animal Models
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a polyclonal autoimmune syndrome mediated by pathogenic autoantibodies directed against nucleoprotein complexes, occurring predominantly in young women. Clinical symptoms of SLE consist of arthralgias, arthritis, pleuritis or pericarditis, renal dysfunctions or central nervous system (CNS) impairment. It is known that both genetic and environmental factors affect the development of SLE. At present, the pathological mechanisms of SLE remain unclear and no drugs or any therapeutic intervention could successfully eradicate SLE.
Creative Bioarray specializes in providing customized pharmacodynamic research services to help customers assess the efficacy of drug candidates and study the associated pathological mechanisms through systemic lupus erythematosus animal models.
Systemic lupus erythematosus animal models including but not limited to:
- Spontaneous models
- Pristane induced models
Our capabilities
- We detect autoantibodies in animal serum by ELISA, Immunofluorescence, etc.
- We evaluate various cytokines through IHC, ELISA, etc.
- We identify immunocyte subsets in spleens by flow cytometry.
Assays available
- PK/PD blood collections
- Quantitative detection of Anti-dsDNA and total IgG by ELISA
- Clinical chemistry analysis
- Histopathological evaluation
- Cytokine/chemokine analysis
- Flow cytometry in lymph nodes, spleen or bone marrow
- Organ weights (kidneys, spleen, lymph nodes)
- Survival rate
With extensive experience in the field of SLE, we are confident to help you to overcome any upcoming challenges. Our experts are fully capable of customizing our protocols and assays to meet your specific needs. With our help, we wish to facilitate your research with high efficiency.
