Neuropathic Pain Models

Creative Bioarray, a leading company specializing in in vivo pharmacological efficacy evaluation, has developed a comprehensive range of neuropathic pain models to facilitate the acceleration of drug development processes for our clients. By leveraging our expertise in pain research and our advanced preclinical models, we enable our clients to efficiently assess the efficacy of their therapeutic candidates, thereby reducing the time and resources required for drug development.

Neuropathic pain is caused by a lesion or disease of the somatosensory system, including peripheral fibers (Aβ, Aδ, and C fibers) and central neurons, and affects 7–10% of the general population. Multiple causes of neuropathic pain have been described and its incidence is likely to increase owing to the aging global population, increased incidence of diabetes mellitus, and improved survival from cancer after chemotherapy. Indeed, imbalances between excitatory and inhibitory somatosensory signaling, alterations in ion channels, and variability in the way that pain messages are modulated in the central nervous system all have been implicated in neuropathic pain. In the pursuit of a deeper understanding and more effective treatments for neuropathic pain, disease models serve as invaluable tools for researchers. These models are meticulously designed to replicate the clinical features and underlying pathophysiology of neuropathic pain, offering a controlled environment to investigate its mechanisms, assess potential therapeutic interventions, and ultimately advance the field of pain management.

Our Animal Models of Neuropathic Pain

Creative Bioarray has created a suite of neuropathic pain models designed to replicate the spectrum of clinical pain scenarios with varying causes. These include peripheral nerve injury models, anti-cancer agents-induced neuropathy models, and diabetes-induced neuropathy models. Details are as follows.
