RFP Expressing Human Astrocytes (RFP-HAs)

Description: Human Brain Vascular Adventitial Fibroblasts (HBVAF) from Creative Bioarray are isolated from human brain vascular tissue. HBVAF are cryopreserved at first passage of primary culture and delivered frozen. Each vial contains >5 x 10^5 cells in 1 ml volume. HBVAF are characterized by spindle morphology and by immunofluorescent method with antibody to fibronectin. HBVAF are negative for HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast and fungi. HBVAF are guaranteed to further expand for 15 population doublings at the condition provided by Creative Bioarray.

Description: Human Brain Microvascular Endothelial Cells from Creative Bioarray are isolated from human brain tissue. Human Brain Microvascular Endothelial Cells are grown in T25 tissue culture flasks pre-coated with gelatin-based solution for 2 min and incubated in Creative Bioarray’ Culture Complete Growth Medium generally for 3-7 days. Cultures are then expanded. Prior to shipping, cells at passage 3 are detached from flasks and immediately cryopreserved in vails. Each vial contains at least 0.5×10^6 cells per ml. The method we use to isolate endothelial cells was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. These cells are pre-coated with PECAM-1 antibody, following the application of magnetic beads pre-coated with secondary antibody.

Description: Human Primary Brain Vascular Fibroblasts are isolated from normal human brain tissue. Human Primary Brain Vascular Fibroblasts are grown in T75 tissue culture flasks pre-coated with gelatin-based coating solution for 2 min and incubated in Creative Bioarray’ Culture Complete Growth Medium generally for 3-7 days. Cultures are then expanded. Prior to shipping, cells at passage 1 are detached from flasks and immediately cryo-preserved in vials. Each vial contains at least 0.5x10^6 cells per ml.

Description: Human Dopaminergic Neuronal Precursor Cells are isolated from 14-16 weeks gestation tissue and selected in tyrosine free medium supplemented with a mixture of growth factors. The cells are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to tyrosine hydroxylase (TH). Human Dopaminergic Neuronal Precursor Cells are cryopreserved at passage 2 and delivered frozen. T25 flasks is required for cell adhension to the culture vessels. Grow cells in ECM-coated culture vessels with 5% CO2. Each vial contains at least 1x10^6 cells per ml.

Description: Human Leptomeningeal Pericytes are isolated from normal human leptomeningeal layer which surrounds the brain in the central nervous system. They can be used in virto to study hypertension, diabetic retinopathy, atherosclerosis, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, and tumor angiogenesis as these pericytes have roles in these processes. The cells are cryopreserved at passage 2 and delivered frozen. T25 flasks is required for cell adhension to the culture vessels. Grow cells in ECM-coated culture vessels with 5% CO2. Each vial contains at least 1x10^6 cells per ml.

Description: GFP Expressing Human Brain Microvascular Endothelial Cells (GFP-HBMVECs) provided by Creative Bioarray are puromycin-selected from Human Brain Microvascular Endothelial Cells infected with lentivirus expressing GFP. GFP-HBMVECs are cryopreserved in passage 4 and guaranteed for at least 18 population doublings under the cell culture conditions specified by Creative Bioarray. These cells are characterized by immunofluorescence staining with antibody of VWF/Factor VIII and PECAM1. These cells are negative for mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, fungi, HIV-1, hepatitis B and hepatitis C.
