Description
Porcine Small Intestinal Smooth Muscle Cells from Creative Bioarray are isolated from small intestinal tissue of Porcine. Porcine Small Intestinal Smooth Muscle Cells are grown in T25 tissue culture flasks pre-coated with gelatin-based coating solution and incubated in Creative Bioarray Complete Growth Medium. The cells are shipped at passage 2. Each vial contains at least 0.5x10^6 cells. The cells are characterized by immunofluorescent method with antibodies to α-smooth muscle actin. Porcine Small Intestinal Smooth Muscle Cells from Creative Bioarray are negative for bacteria, yeast, fungi, and mycoplasma. Cells are guaranteed to further expand for 3 passages following the instructions provided by Creative Bioarray Repeated freezing and thawing of cells is not recommended.

What are the causes of cell death or poor cell viability in purchased cells?
Incorrect use of medium or poor quality of medium. Serum is used incorrectly or the serum is of poor quality. Transportation process has serious effects on the cells. Wrong thawing process. Frozen cells were thawed, washed and centrifuged. Suspended cells are mistaken for dead cells. Incorrect use of culture temperature. Cells were left at -80°C for too long.
