Description
Porcine Artery Smooth Muscle Cells from Creative Bioarray are isolated from artery of Porcine. Porcine Artery Smooth Muscle Cells are grown in T25 tissue culture flasks pre-coated with gelatin-based coating solution and incubated in Creative Bioarray Complete Growth Medium. The cells are shipped at passage 2. Each vial contains at least 0.5x10^6 cells. The cells are characterized by immunofluorescent method with antibodies to α-smooth muscle actin. Porcine Artery Smooth Muscle Cells from Creative Bioarray are negative for bacteria, yeast, fungi, and mycoplasma. Cells are guaranteed to further expand for 3 passages following the instructions provided by Creative Bioarray Repeated freezing and thawing of cells is not recommended.

Storage and Shipping
Creative Bioarray ships frozen cells on dry ice. On receipt, immediately transfer frozen cells to liquid nitrogen (-180 °C) until ready for experimental use.
Never can cryopreserved cells be kept at -20 °C.

What should be the centrifugation rate at which cells are centrifuged down?
For cell recovery during cell passaging or cryopreservation, the centrifugation speed is generally 800-1000 rpm/min for 5-8 minutes at room temperature; too high a speed will result in cell rupture and death.
