Never can cryopreserved cells be kept at -20 °C.
There are the following reasons for slowing down cell proliferation: 1. excessive digestion 2. too dense passaging 3. poor cell nutrition 4. frequent cell passaging 5. poor cell condition or aging 6. presence of contamination in the cells.
