We do not recommend expanding mononuclear cells, as we observed that during proliferation only the mesenchymal stem cell population is proliferated, while the rest non-adherent population is washed away during media changes. It should be noted that varying the concentration of suitable growth factors and cytokine mix can majorly influence the differentiation and proliferation of cells.
Upon receiving, directly and immediately transfer the cells from dry ice to liquid nitrogen and keep the cells in liquid nitrogen until they are needed for experiments.

Description: Human bone marrow stromal cells or mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are derived from bone marrow mononuclear cells. MSCs are isolated from a single donor. MSCs are one of the most investigated cells for therapeutic applications. These cells enable researchers to investigate stem cell properties, regenerative medicine, and tissue engineering. In addition, they may be used for developmental studies.

Description: Human bone marrow plasma is the liquid component of blood. Bone marrow plasma consists of dissolved proteins, glucose, clotting agents, minerals, hormones, and carbon dioxide. It makes up approximately 55% of the whole bone marrow suspension. This whole bone marrow plasma is isolated from a single donor. The plasma is separated out from the whole bone marrow (sent separately) and immediately frozen at -80°C in order to preserve its contents. Whole bone marrow plasma enables researchers to investigate specific components of bone marrow at the molecular level.
