Description
Mouse Perivascular Resident Macrophate-type Melanocytes (PVM/Ms) are isolated from normal mouse tissue and purified by flow cytometry based on F4/80 sorting. Sorted cells were validated with anti-F4/80 and anti-GSTα4 in immunohistochemical staining. The perivascular resident macrophate-type melanocytes (PVM/Ms), along with cochlear microvascular endothelial cells and cochlear pericytes, are important for maintaining the inner ear homeostasis. The PVM/Ms have been found to be essential in regulating the permeability of the intrastrial fluid-blood barrier. The cells can be used in vascular dysfunction-related hearing loss study.
