Description
The ovary is not only the organ for egg production, growth and maturation, but also one of the target organs of gonadotropin secreted by the anterior pituitary gland. The ovarian iterstitium, that can support follicular growth and development, is primarily composed of ovarian interstitial cells.
Rat Ovarian Interstitial Cells (rOICs) from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the rat ovarian tissue. The method we use to isolate rOICs was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The rOICs are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to cholesterol side-chain cleavage enzyme (P450scc). Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
