Description
The prostate gland is mainly composed of three kinds of cells, namely secretory cells, basal cells and neuroendocrine cells. Basal cells account for about 10% of the total prostate cells, do not have secretory function, and are considered to be the pluripotent stem cells of the prostate.
Rabbit prostate basal cells from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the rabbit prostate tissue. The method we use to isolate rabbit prostate basal cells was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The rabbit prostate basal cells are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to myoepithelial cell marker (p63). Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
