Description
Microglial cells are glial cells derived from mesoderm that function as macrophages in the central nervous system and form part of the reticuloendothelial system. They are the most prominent immune cells of the central nervous system (CNS) and are the first to respond when something goes wrong in the brain.
Rabbit microglial cells from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the rabbit brain tissue. The method we use to isolate rabbit microglial cells was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The rabbit microglial cells are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to CD68. Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
