Description
Chondrocytes are mostly distributed in articular cartilage and are responsible for the secretion of type II collagen and other types of collagen as well as non-collagenous extracellular matrix macromolecules. They can secrete and respond to a range of growth factors, including IGF-1 and IL1.
Mouse vertebral endplate chondrocytes from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the mouse vertebral endplate cartilage joint tissue. The method we use to isolate mouse vertebral endplate chondrocytes was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The mouse vertebral endplate chondrocytes are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to Collagen II. Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
