Do I need growth factors in the culture of tumor cells?

Although tumor cells have autocrine production of growth-promoting substances, growth factors are still required in most tumor cell cultures, and in some cases, specific growth factors (e.g. breast cancer cells, etc.). In conclusion, tumor cells still need to be cultured with serum and related growth factors to make the culture more successful.
