The epithelial tumors of esophagus are classified as benign, dysplasia, and malignant groups. Dysplasia is divided into Barrett dysplasia and squamous dysplasia and graded into either low-grade or high-grade. Malignant esophageal tumors are often adenocarcinoma or squamous cell carcinoma.
