What are Immortalized Human Synovial Membrane Fibroblasts-SV40?

Immortalized Human Synovial Membrane Fibroblasts-SV40 are cultured human fibroblasts derived from the synovial membrane, which lines joints. These cells have been genetically modified to express the SV40 (Simian Virus 40) large T antigen, allowing them to proliferate in vitro. They serve as an important model for studying joint diseases and inflammatory conditions.
