Description
Primary human retinal microvascular pericytes were isolated and transfected with full-length human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) and GFP expressing lentiviral particles. This cell line may be utilized as an in vitro model to study the molecular basis of several diseases of the human retina. The cell line was continuously cultured for more than 20 passages without showing signs of growth retardation or replicative senescence.
