ActoFactor™ Recombinant Rat Tumor necrosis factor
- Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0834
Description
Recombinant Rat Tumor Necrosis Factor-alpha (rRa TNF-alpha) is a potent lymphoid factor, which exerts cytotoxic effects on a wide range of tumor cells and certain other target cells. It is also involved in many other cellular events such as cell growth modulation, immune system regulation, autoimmune disease and inflammation. Creative Bioarray's TNF-alpha is a 17.3 kDa protein containing 157 amino acid residues.
Species
Rat
Product Overview
Rat Tnf expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
17.3 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0834-20 (20 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0834-100 (100 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 97% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analysis.
Activity
The ED50 as determined by the cytolysis of murine L929 cells in the presence of Actinomycin D is ≤ 0.05 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 2 x 10^7 units/mg.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
The protein was lyophilized from a protein solution in 20 mM phosphate buffer and 0.1 M NaCl.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted in sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized powder, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted rRa TNF-alpha should be used immediately or stored long- term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
