ActoFactor™ Recombinant Rat Interleukin 13 (113 aa Variant)
- Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0825
Description
Recombinant rat IL-13 is an immunoregulatory protein produced by activated T-lymphocytes. The biological activities of IL-13 include the stimulation of B-cell proliferation and immunoglobulin production. Recombinant rat IL-13 produced in E. coli is a single, non- glycosylated polypeptide chain of 113 amino acids and a molecular mass of 12,7 Dalton.
Species
Rat
Product Overview
Rat Il13 expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
12.2 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0825-10 (10 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0825-50 (50 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE, FPLC and RP-HPLC analysis.
Activity
The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent proliferation of human TF-1 cells is ≤ 5.0 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of Greater than 2 x 10^5 units/mg.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Sterile-filtered, white, lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. Recombinant Rat Interleukin-13, at a concentration of 1 mg/ml, was lyophilized with no additives.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening vial. The lyophilized rMu IL-13 should be reconstituted in sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted rRa IL-13 should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. For long term storage, it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
