ActoFactor™ Recombinant Rat Interleukin 10
- Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0823
Description
Recombinant Rat Interleukin-10 (rRa IL-10) is an immunosuppressive cytokine produced by a variety of mammalian cell types including macophages, monocytes, B-cells, T-cells and keratinocytes. IL-10 inhibits the expression of proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-1 and TNF- alpha. Like IL-4, IL-10 enhances humoral immune responses and attenuates cell-mediated immune reactions. Recombinant Rat IL-10 is an 18.7 kDa protein of 160 amino acid residues.
Species
Rat
Product Overview
Rat Il10 expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
18.7 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0823-10 (10 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0823-50 (50 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE and RP-HPLC analysis.
Activity
The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent inhibition of MC/9 proliferation is < 10 ng/ml.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Lyophilized from a sterile-filtered protein solution containing 25 mM sodium phosphate buffer (pH 7.25) and 100 mM NaCI.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening the vial. The lyophilized rRa IL-10 should be reconstituted in 5 mM Tris (pH 7.2) to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized powder, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted rRa IL-10 should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
