Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0837
Description
RANTES is a protein which has been shown to be a chemoattractant for peripheral blood monocytes. It appears to selectively attract T cells of the CD4+/CD45RO+ phenotype in vitro. Recombinant rat RANTES is a 7.9 kDa protein containing 68 amino acid residues.
Species
Rat
Product Overview
Rat Ccl5 expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
7.9 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0837-20 (20 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0837-100 (100 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 98% as determined by SDS-PAGE analysis.
Activity
Determined by its ability to chemoattract rat peritoneal macrophages using a concentration range of 50-100 ng/ml.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
The protein was lyophilized with no additives.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted in sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted rRa RANTES should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
