ActoFactor™ Recombinant Mouse Thrombopoietin
- Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0730
Description
Recombinant Murine Thrombopoietin (rMu TPO, Mpl-ligand, MGDF) stimulates the proliferation and maturation of megakaryocytes and promotes increased circulating levels of platelets in vivo. Creative Bioarrays rMu TPO is a non-glycosylated, soluble 18.7 kDa protein of 174 amino acid residues, which contains the erythropoietin-like domain of the full length TPO protein.
Species
Mouse
Product Overview
Mouse Thpo expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
18.7 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0730-10 (10 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0730-50 (50 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Activity
The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of human M07e cells was found to be in a range from 0.05 ng/ml to 0.015 ng/ml. The optimal concentration for each specific application should be determined by initial dose-response assay.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Lyophilized from a sterile-filtered, concentrated ( 1 mg/ml) solution in water containing no additives.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted sterile, ultra-pure in water to a concentration of 0.5-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqeuous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized powder, though stable at room temperature, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted rMu TPO should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
