ActoFactor™ Recombinant Mouse Platelet derived growth factor, B polypeptide
- Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0707
Description
Recombinant Murine Platelet Derived Growth Factor (rMu PDGF) is a potent mitogen for a wide range of cell types including fibroblasts, smooth muscle and connective tissue. PDGF, which is composed of a dimer of two chains termed the A chain and B chain, can be present as AA or BB homodimers or as an AB heterodimer. Murine PDGF-BB is a 24.446 kDa homodimeric, non- glycosylated, polypeptide chain of 109 amino acid residues.
Species
Mouse
Product Overview
Mouse Pdgfb expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
24.4 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0707-10 (10 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0707-50 (50 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 98% as determined by SDS-PAGE, RP-HPLC and AEX-FPLC analysis.
Activity
The ED50 has been determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of human umbelical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) using a concentration range of less than 1.6 ng/ml.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
The protein was lyophilized from 10 mM NaCitrate (pH 3.0).
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening vial. The lyophilized PDGF-BB should be reconstituted in sterile 100 mM acetic acid and 0.1% BSA to a concentration of 0.1- 1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized rMu PDGF-BB, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. For long-term storage, reconstituted rMu PDGF-BB should be stored in undiluted working aliquots at ( -20°C. It is also recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) for long-term storage. Avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
