ActoFactor™ Recombinant Mouse Interleukin 7
- Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0686
Description
Recombinant Murine IL-7 (rMu IL-7) is a hematopoietic growth factor, which affects primarily early B and T cells. Produced by thymic stromal cells, spleen cells and keratinocytes, IL-7 can also co-stimulate the proliferation of mature T cells in combination with other factors such as ConA and IL-2. Human and murine IL-7 is cross-species reactive. Recombinant murine IL-7 is a non- glycosylated single polypeptide chain of 14.897 kDa containing 130 amino acid residues.
Species
Mouse
Product Overview
Mouse Il7 expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
15.0 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0686-10 (10 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0686-50 (50 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 98% as determined by SDS-PAGE, FPLC and RP-HPLC analysis.
Activity
Recombinant murine IL-7 is fully biologically active when compared to a standard. The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of murine 2E8 cells is < 0.2 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 2 x 10^6 units/mg.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Lyophilized from a sterile-filtered, concentrated (1 mg/ml) protein solution with no additives.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted in sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted rMu IL-7 should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
