ActoFactor™ Recombinant Mouse Interleukin 13
- Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0691
Description
Recombinant murine IL-13 (rMu IL-13) is an immunoregulatory protein produced by activated T- lymphocytes. The biological activities of IL-13 include the stimulation of B-cell proliferation and immunoglobulin production. Recombinant mouse IL-13 is a 12.3 kDa protein containing 111 amino acid residues. It has been purified using proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Species
Mouse
Product Overview
Mouse Il13 expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
12.3 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0691-10 (10 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0691-50 (50 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE analysis.
Activity
The ED50 range as determined by the dose-dependent proliferation of human TF-1 cells is 4 ng/ml.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
The protein (1 mg/ml) was lyophilized in PBS (pH 7.2) with 5% trehalose.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product before opening vial. The lyophilized rMu IL-13 should be reconstituted in water to a concentration of 0.1 - 1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted rMu IL-13 should be stored in working aliquots at -20°C. For long term storage, it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
