ActoFactor™ Recombinant Mouse Interleukin 10
- Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0688
Description
Recombinant Murine Interleukin-10 (rMu IL-10), originally known as Cytokine Synthesis Inhibitory Factor (CSIF), is an 18.7 kDa protein of 161 amino acid residues that shares over 80% sequence homology with the Epstein-Barr Virus protein BCRFI. The reported biological activities of IL-10, which may be inter-related, include inhibition of macrophage mediated cytokine synthesis, suppression of the delayed type hypersensitivity response, and stimulation of the TH2 cell response, which results in elevated antibody production.
Species
Mouse
Product Overview
Mouse Il10 expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
18.7 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0688-10 (10 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0688-50 (50 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 98% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analysis.
Activity
The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent co-stimulation (with IL-4) of the proliferation of murine MC/9 cells is ≤ 2.0 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of Greater than 5 x 10^5 units/mg.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Lyophilized from a sterile-filtered protein solution with no additives.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening the vial. The lyophilized rMu IL-10 should be reconstituted in sterile, ultrapure water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized powder, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted rMu IL-10 should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
