ActoFactor™ Recombinant Mouse Interleukin 1 beta
- Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0679
Description
Recombinant Murine Interleukin-1beta (rMu IL-1beta) is a potent immuno-modulator, which mediates a wide range of immune and inflammatory responses. RMu IL-1beta is a 17.5 kDa protein containing 153 amino acid residues.
Species
Mouse
Product Overview
Mouse Il1b expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
17.4 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0679-10 (10 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0679-50 (50 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 98% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analysis.
Activity
The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of murine D10S cells is ≤ 0.002 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of Greater than 5 x 10^8 units/mg.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Lyophilized after extensive dialysis against PBS (pH 7.5) from a sterile-filtered, concentrated protein solution with no additives.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening the vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted in sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized rMu IL-1beta, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted rMu IL-1beta should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
