ActoFactor™ Recombinant Mouse Granzyme B

  • Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0800
Description
Granzyme B is a cysteine protease found in the cytoplasmic granules of cytolytic T lymphocytes (CTL) and natural killer (NK) cells. Granzyme B is required for the induction of target cell lysis, which occurs as part of cell mediated immune responses, and can activate apoptosis in target cells by both caspase dependent and caspase independent mechanisms. Proteolytic cleavage of substrates by Granzyme B takes place primarily after aspartic acid residues. Recombinant murine Granzyme B is a glycosylated 227 amino acid protein, comprising the mature active portion of the murine Granzyme B precursor. The apparent molecular weight is 28.9 kDa by mass spectrometry.
Species
Mouse
Product Overview
Mouse Gzmb expressed in Baculovirus
Molecular Mass
28.9 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0800-10 (10 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0800-50 (50 μg)
Expression System
Baculovirus
Purity
Greater than 98% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analysis.
Activity
Determined by its ability to cleave a synthetic chromogentic Granzyme B substrate. The expected specific activity, when using the Ac-IEPD-pNA substrate at 25°C, is greater than 750 nM/min per μg of enzyme.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Lyophilized from a sterile-filtered solution with no additives.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product before opening vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted with distilled, sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. For further dilution, carrier protein (0.1% BSA or HSA) should be added to avoid loss of bioactivity.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted protein should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. For long-term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
