ActoFactor™ Recombinant Mouse Fibroblast growth factor 8
- Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0666
Description
Recombinant mouse Fibroblast Growth Factor-8 (rHu FGF-8), also known as Androgen-induced growth factor (AIGF), is a heparin binding growth factor, which stimulates the proliferation and activation of cells that express FGF receptors. Creative Bioarrays mouse FGF-8 produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain of 246 amino acids and a molecular mass of 28.1 kDa. It has been purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Species
Mouse
Product Overview
Mouse Fgf8 expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
28.1 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0666-25 (25 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0666-125 (125 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analysis.
Activity
The ED50, as determined by the dose-dependent a cell proliferation assay using NR6R-3T3 mouse fibroblast cells, is 40,000 units/mg.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
White (freeze-dried) powder. FGF-8 protein was lyop hilized from a 0.2 μm filtered, concentrated protein solution in PBS (pH 7.4).
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted in sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted protein should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. For long-term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
