ActoFactor™ Recombinant Mouse FMS-like tyrosine kinase 3 ligand
- Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0777
Description
Flt3-Ligand belongs to a small group of growth factors that regulates proliferation of early hematopoietic cells. Multiple isoforms of Flt3-Ligands have been identified. The predominant form is the transmembrane which is biologically active on the cell surface. The proteolytically cleaved transmembrane isoform generates a soluble form, which is also biologically active. Flt3- Ligand binds to cells expressing the tyrosine kinase receptor Flt3. Alone, Flt3-Ligand cannot stimulate proliferation, but synergizes well with other CSFs and interleukins to induce growth and differentiation. Flt3-Ligand has no activity on mast cells. Recombinant Murine Flt3-Ligand is a non-glycosylated 18.587 kDa protein containing 163 amino acid residues.
Species
Mouse
Product Overview
Mouse Flt3l expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
18.6 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0777-10 (10 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0777-50 (50 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE and RP-HPLC analysis.
Activity
Recombinant mouse Flt3-Ligand is fully biologically active when compared to a standard. The ED50, calculated by the dose-dependent proliferation of mouse AML5 cells, is less than 7 ng/ml.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Lyophilized from a sterile-filtered protein solution in 10 mM sodium phosphate buffer (pH 7.5).
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening the vial. The lyophilized rMu Flt3- Ligand should be reconstituted in sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized powder, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted rMu Flt3-Ligand should be used immediately or stored in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
