ActoFactor™ Recombinant Mouse Epstein-Barr virus induced gene 3
- Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0794
Description
EBI-3 has an induced expression in B lymphocytes in reaction to Epstein-Barr virus infection. EBI- 3 encodes a secreted glycoprotein belonging to the hematopoietin receptor family, and heterodimerizes with a 28 kDa protein to form IL-27. EBI-3 drives rapid clonal expansion of naive cd4(+) T-cells. EBI-3 strongly synergizes with IL-12 to activate IFN-gamma production of naive cd4(+) T-cells. EBI-3 mediates its biologic effects through the cytokine receptor WSX-1/TCCR. Mouse recombinant EBI-3 produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 207 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 23 kDa.

Formulation
Sterile-filtered, white, lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. Lyophilized from a protein solution in 10 mM sodium citrate (pH 3).
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted in sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted protein should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
