ActoFactor™ Recombinant Mouse Colony stimulating factor 3 (granulocyte)
- Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0018
Description
Mouse granulocyte colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) is a 19 kDa protein with 179 amino acid residues. G-CSF is a pleiotropic cytokine best known for its specific effects on the proliferation, differentiation and activation of hematopoietic cells of the granulocyte lineage.
Species
Mouse
Product Overview
Mouse Csf3 expressed in
Sequence
A DNA sequence encoding the mature mouse G-CSF protein sequence was expressed in E. coli.
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0018-5 (5 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0018-25 (25 μg)
Purity
Greater than 97% as determined by SDS-PAGE and visualized by silver stain
Activity
The biological activity of recombinant mouse G-CSF was measured in a cell proliferation assay using a mouse myeloblastic cell line, NSF-60. The ED50 for this effect is typically 0.01 - 0.03 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of approximately 5 x 10^7 units/mg.
Endotoxin Level
Endotoxin level is less than 0.1 ng per mg of mouse G-CSF as determined by the LAL method.
Formulation
Lyophilized from a sterile-filtered solution in 20mM acetic acid containing 50 mg of bovine serum albumin per 1 mg of cytokine.
Reconstitution
It is recommended that sterile phosphate-buffered saline containing at least 0.1% human serum albumin or bovine serum albumin be added to the vial to prepare a stock solution of no less than 5 mg/ml of the cytokine.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized powder is stable for greater than six months at -20°C to -70°C. Reconstituted mouse G-CSF can be stored under sterile conditions at 2°C to 4°C for one month or at -20°C to -70°C for three months without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
