ActoFactor™ Recombinant Mouse Colony stimulating factor 2 (granulocyte-macrophage)
- Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0668
Description
Granulocyte Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor (rMu GM-CSF) is a potent species specific stimulator of bone marrow cells. rMu GM-CSF stimulates precursor cells of neutrophils, eosinophils, and macrophages. It plays also a role as a differentiation and activating factor for granulocytic and monocytic cells. Recombinant mouse GM-CSF is a 14.2 kDa globular protein consisting of 124 amino acids residues.
Species
Mouse
Product Overview
Mouse Csf2 expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
14.2 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0668-20 (20 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0668-100 (100 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 98% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analysis.
Activity
The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of murine FDC- P1 cells is ≤ 0.05 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of Greater than 2 x 10^7 units/mg.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Sterile-filtered through a 0.2 micron filter and lyophilized from 10 mM acetic acid.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted in sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized rMu GM-CSF, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted rMu GM-CSF should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
