ActoFactor™ Recombinant Mouse Chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 12 (alpha)
- Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0778
Description
Recombinant Murine Stromal Cell-Derived Factor-1 alpha (rMu SDF-1 alpha) is a recently discovered protein belonging to the alpha-chemokine (C-X-C) family of cytokines. Creative Bioarrays recombinant murine SDF-1 alpha is a 7.9 kDa protein containing 68 amino acid residues.
Species
Mouse
Product Overview
Mouse Cxcl12 expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
7.9 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0778-10 (10 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0778-50 (50 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 98% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analysis.
Activity
The biological activity was determined by its ability to chemoattract human peripheral blood monocytes. The concentration for this effect was found to be in the range of 50-100 ng/ml.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Lyophilized from a sterile-filtered, concentrated p rotein solution in 10 mM acetic acid. The protein may appear as a haze or film which is diffi cult to see at the bottom of the vial.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening the vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted sterile, ultrapure in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized SDF-1 alpha, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 months, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted murine SDF-1 alpha should be used immediately or stored in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
