ActoFactor™ Recombinant Mouse Chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 1

  • Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0741
Description
KC is a member of the CXC chemokine family with homology to human IL-8, a potent neutrophilic chemotactic cytokine. KC is a fundamental mediator of neutrophil recruitment in acute mast cell-dependent skin inflammation. Recombinant murine KC also nown as N51 and GRO-1 (alpha) produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain of 72 amino acids and a molecular mass of 7,815 Dalton.
Species
Mouse
Product Overview
Mouse Cxcl1 expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
7.8 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0741-20 (20 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0741-100 (100 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE, FPLC and RP-HPLC analysis.
Activity
Recombinant murine CXCL1 is fully biologically active when compared to a standard. The biological activity was determined by measuring the dose-dependent mobilization of intracellular calcium (calcium flux) with human neutrophils. Significant calcium mobilization is observed with Greater than50 ng/ml of recombinant KC (specific activity: ~2 x 10^4 units/mg).
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Sterile-filtered, white, lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. Lyophilized with no additives.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted in sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted rMu KC should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. For long term storage, it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
