ActoFactor™ Recombinant Human soluble Delta-like Protein 4 (HEK)

  • Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0600
Description
Human sDLL-4 comprises the extracellular signaling domain of DLL, a member of a structurally- related family of single-pass type I trans-membrane proteins that serve as ligands for Notch receptors. DLL-4 functions to specifically activate the Notch-1 and Notch-4 receptors. The Notch signaling pathway regulates endothelial-cell differentiation, proliferation and apoptosis, and is essential for the development, maintenance and remodeling of the vascular system. Targeted deletion of the DLL-4 gene in mice resulted in severe vascular defects and death before birth. Up-regulation of DLL-4 expression has been implicated in the vascular development of certain tumors. Recombinant human sDLL-4 is a 54.0 kDa glycoprotein containing 498 amino-acid residues.
Species
Human
Product Overview
Human DLL4 expressed in 293 cells
Molecular Mass
54 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0600-25 (25 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0600-125 (125 μg)
Expression System
293 cells
Purity
Greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analysis.
Activity
The sDLL-4, when immobilized at concentrations >1.5 μg/mL will inhibit myogenesis in C2C12 cells.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Lyophilized from a sterile-filtered solution with no additives.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product before opening vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted with distilled, sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. For further dilution, carrier protein (0.1% BSA or HSA) should be added to avoid loss of bioactivity.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted protein should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. For long-term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
