ActoFactor™ Recombinant Human Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily, member 1B

  • Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0358
Description
TNFR2 is a member of the TNFR family of transmembrane proteins, and is expressed in immune cells and certain endothelial cells. It is a high affinity receptor for TNF-alpha but manifests a lower affinity to TNF-beta. Signaling through this receptor regulates various biological processes including cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, lipid metabolism, coagulation, and neurotransmission. Soluble TNFR2 is capable of inhibiting TNF-alpha induced activities by acting as a decoy receptor. Recombinant human sTNFR2 is an 18.9 kDa protein (174 amino acid residues) comprising the cysteine rich ligand binding portion of the extracellular domain of the TNFR1 protein.
Species
Human
Product Overview
Human TNFRSF1B expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
18.9 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0358-20 (20 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0358-100 (100 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 97% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analysis.
Activity
Determined by its inhibitory effect of the TNF-alpha mediated cytotoxicity in murine L-929 cells. The ED50 for this effect in the presence of 0.25 ng/ml of recombinant human TNF-alpha is 0.125 μg/ml.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
lyophilized from a sterile-filtered solution in 10 mM Sodium Phosphate, pH 8.0 + 50 mM NaCl.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product before opening vial. The lyophilized TNFR2 should be reconstituted in sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted rHu sTNFR2 should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C.
