ActoFactor™ Recombinant Human Teratocarcinoma-derived growth factor 1

  • Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0383
Description
TDGF-1 is an extracellular, membrane-bound signaling protein that is involved in embryonic development and tumor growth. Mutations in TDGF-1 are associated with forebrain defects TDGF-1 takes part in the determination of the epiblastic cells that later provide growth to the mesoderm. Recombinant human TDGF-1 produced in HEK-293 cells is a single, glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 139 amino acids with a molecular weight of 17.8 kDa though on SDS-PAGE migrates at about 25kDa due to the glycosilation. It has been purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Product Overview
Human TDGF1 expressed in HEK cells
Molecular Mass
N/A
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0383-10 (10 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0383-50 (50 μg)
Expression System
HEK cells
Purity
Greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE analysis.
Activity
In a functional ELISA, immobilized recombinant human Activin RIB/Fc chimera receptor (0.2 μg/mL) will bind TDGF-1 with linear range of 0.8 to 100 ng/ml.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. Lyophilized from a sterile-filtered protein solution containing no additives or preservatives.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted in sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0.1 - 1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted protein should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. For long-term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
