ActoFactor™ Recombinant Human Retinol binding protein 7, cellular

  • Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0514
Description
RBP-7 is a member of a superfamily of small cytoplasmic proteins which interact with hydrophobic ligands. RBP-7 is cytoplasmic protein which, like CRBP I and CRBP II, forms ?-barrel structures and participates in the intracellular transport of retinol. RBP-7 is a newly identified cellular retinol carrier, which is expressed in the kidney, heart and transverse colon in humans. Human recombinant RBP-7 produced in E. coli is fused with a 20 amino acid His-tag at the N- terminus. It is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain of 154 amino acids (1-134 a.a.) and a molecular mass of 17.6 kDa. It has been purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
