ActoFactor™ Recombinant Human Pro-platelet basic protein (chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 7)

  • Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0378
Description
NAP-2 is a CXC chemokine that can signal through the CXCR1 and CXCR2 receptors. It is produced in leukocytes by enzymatic processing of a precursor called platelet basic protein (PBP). NAP-2 chemoattracts and activates neutrophils. Recombinant human NAP-2 produced in E. coli is a non-glycosylated polypeptide chain of 70 amino acids and a molecular mass of 7,609 Dalton.
Species
Human
Product Overview
Human PPBP expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
7.6 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0378-10 (10 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0378-50 (50 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 98% as determined by SDS-PAGE, FPLC and RP-HPLC analysis.
Activity
NAP-2 is fully biologically active when compared to a standard. The specific activity has been determined by the ability of NAP-2 to chemoattract human neurotrophils using a concentration of 1-10 ng/ml.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Sterile-filtered, white, lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. Lyophilized from a concentrated (1 mg/ml) solution in water containing no additives.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product before opening vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted in sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted rHu NAP-2 should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. For long-term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
