ActoFactor™ Recombinant Human Neuropilin 1 (E. coli)
- Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0398
Description
Vascular Endothelial Cell Growth Factor (VEGF) is a secreted homodimeric protein expressed by a variety of vascularized tissues. The reported activities of human VEGF include stimulation of endothelial cell growth, angiogenesis, and vascular permeability. Human VEGF is a 38.2 kDa homodimeric protein consisting of two 165 amino acid polypeptide chains.
Species
Human
Product Overview
Human NRP1 expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
38.2 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0398-10 (10 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0398-50 (50 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE analysis.
Activity
The ED50 for stimulation of cell proliferation in human umbilical vein endothelial cells by VEGF- 165 has been determined to be in the range of 1-5 ng/ml.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Lyophilized from a protein solution in 50 mM acetic acid with no additives.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening the vial. The lyophilized human VEGF should be reconstituted in sterile 50 mM acetic acid to a concentration not lower than 50 μg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized powder, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted rHu VEGF should be stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at –20°C. For long-term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
