ActoFactor™ Recombinant Human Mesoderm induction early response 1, transcriptional regulator
- Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0454
Description
The cytokine MIF also known as Macrophage Migration Inhibitory Factor has been is secreted by the pituitary gland and monocytes/macrophages playing an important role in endotoxic shock. MIF has the unique property of being released from macrophages and T cells in response to physiological concentrations of glucocorticoids. The secretion of MIF is tightly regulated and decreases at high, anti-inflammatory steroid concentration. Recombinant human MIF produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain of 115 aminoacids and a molecular mass of 12 kDa. It was purified to apparent homogeneity by using conventional column chromatography techniques.
