ActoFactor™ Recombinant Human Lymphotoxin alpha (Insect)

  • Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0350
Description
Tumor Necrosis Factor-beta (TNF-beta) is a potent lymphoid factor, which exerts cytotoxic effects on a wide range of tumor cells and certain other target cells. Human TNF-beta is an 18.6 kDa protein containing 172 amino acid residues. Due to glycosylation, TNF-beta has an approximate molecular weight of 19.3 kDa based on SDS-PAGE gel and Mass Spectrometry.

Insect cells
Purity
Greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analysis.
Activity
The ED50 was determined by the cytolysis of murine L929 cells in the presence of actinomycin D is 2 x 10^7 units/mg.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Lyophilized (freeze-dried), sterile powder. Lyophilized with no additives.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted in sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0,1 - 1,0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted rHu TNF-beta should be used immediately or stored long- term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
