Activity

The biological activity was determined by a standard cell proliferation assay using a human factor-dependent cell line TF-1. The ED50 for this effect is 0.1-0.2 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of Greater than 5 x 10^6 units/mg (WHO standard 88/656, NIBSC).

Lyophilized from DMEM/F12 (stabilizer: HSA)

Reconstitution

Please centrifuge product briefly before opening the vial. The lyophilized rHu IL-4 CC should be reconstituted in 2 ml of sterile, distilled water. For further dilution, carrier protein (0.1% BSA or HSA) should be added to avoid loss of bioactivity.

Storage & Stability

The lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted rHu IL-4 CC should be used immediately or divided into aliquots and stored undiluted at -20°C for future use. Please avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
