ActoFactor™ Recombinant Human Interleukin 12 (HEK)
- Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0247
Description
Recombinant Human Interleukin-12 (rHu IL-12) is a regulatory protein produced by activated B- lymphocytes and macrophages. Human IL-12 produced in HEK cells is a heterodimeric, glycosylated protein with a molecular weight of 57 kDa.
Species
Human
Product Overview
Human IL12B expressed in HEK cells
Molecular Mass
57 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0247-10 (10 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0247-50 (50 μg)
Expression System
HEK cells
Purity
Greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE analysis.
Activity
Specific activity was determined by the dose-dependent release of IFN-gamma from the human NK92 cell line in presence of 20 ng/ml rat IL-2 and is typically 0.1 - 0.5 ng/ml.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Lyophilized from a sterile-filtered protein solution (1 mg/ml) in 1x PBS buffer.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening the vial. The lyophilized IL-12 should be reconstituted in sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0.2 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized powder, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted rHu IL-12 should be stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. For long-term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
