ActoFactor™ Recombinant Human Colony stimulating factor 3 (granulocyte-macrophage) (Sf9)

  • Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0154
Description
Recombinant Human Granulocyte and Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor (rHu GM-CSF) is a potent species specific stimulator of bone marrow cells. rHu GM-CSF also stimulates precursor cells of granulocytes, macrophages and eosinophils. Recombinant Human GM-CSF produced in insect cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain of 127 amino acids and a molecular mass of 14,477 Dalton. Recombinant human GM-CSF is fused to a C-terminal His-tag (6x His) and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Species
Human
Product Overview
Human CSF3 expressed in Sf9-insect cells
Molecular Mass
14.5 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0154-20 (20 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0154-100 (100 μg)
Expression System
Sf9-insect cells
Purity
Greater than 98% as determined by SDS-PAGE analysis.
Activity
Recombinant GM-CSF is fully biologically active when compared to a standard. The ED50, as determined by the dose-dependant stimulation of the proliferation of human TF-1 cells (human erythroleukemic indicator cell line), is < 0.1 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 1 ×10^7 IU/mg.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Sterile-filtered, white, lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. Lyophilized with no additives.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening the vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into water or other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted rHu GM-CSF-Sf9 should be used immediately or stored long- term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. For long-term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
