ActoFactor™ Recombinant Human Colony stimulating factor 3 (granulocyte-macrophage) (E. coli)
- Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0151
Description
Recombinant Human Granulocyte and Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor (rHu GM-CSF) is a potent species specific stimulator of bone marrow cells. rHu GM-CSF also stimulates precursor cells of granulocytes, macrophages and eosinophils. Human GM-CSF is a 14.48 kDa protein containing 127 amino acid residues.
Species
Human
Product Overview
Human CSF3 expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
14.5 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0151-10 (10 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0151-50 (50 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 98% as determined by HPLC and SDS-PAGE analysis.
Activity
The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of human TF-1 cells (human erythroleukemic indicator cell line) is ≤ 0.1 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of Greater than 1 x 10^7 units/mg (WHO standard 88/646, NIBSC).
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Lyophilized from a sterile protein solution extensively dialyzed against 2 mM sodium phosphate buffer (pH 7.4).
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product before opening the vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. For further dilution carrier protein should be added to avoid loss of bioactivity.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized powder, though stable at room temperature, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted rHu GM-CSF should be stored in working aliquots at -20°C. Please avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
