ActoFactor™ Recombinant Human Chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 9
- Specification
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0453
Description
CXCL9 is a chemoattractant for activated T cells having angiostatic activity. Both CXCL9 and CXCL10 have been considered as important components for the anti-tumor activities of interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma) and interleukin-12 in animal models. Human MIG is induced in THP-1 cells and in peripheral blood mononuclear cells by interferon-gamma but not by interferon-alpha or by lipopolysaccharides. Analysis of mouse and human genomic DNAs suggested that the respective human and murine genes are true mouse-human homologues. Recombinant human MIG (monokine induced by gamma-interferon) produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain of 103 amino acids and a molecular mass of 11,700 Dalton.
Species
Human
Product Overview
Human CXCL9 expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
11.7 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0453-20 (20 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0453-100 (100 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 98% as determined by SDS-PAGE, FPLC and RP-HPLC analysis.
Activity
Recombinant MIG is fully biologically active when compared to a standard. The biological activity is calculated by its ability to chemoattract CXCL9 transfected 293 cells using 10-100 ng/ml.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Sterile-filtered, white, lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. Lyophilized from a concentrated (1 mg/ml), sterile solution with no additives.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted in sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted rHu MIG should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. For long-term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
