Description
Angiopoietin-like proteins ANGPTL3 and ANGPTL4 are secreted proteins mainly expressed in liver that have been demonstrated to regulate triglyceride metabolism by inhibiting the lipolysis of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins. ANGPTL3 is structurally similar to angiopoietins, which are vascular endothelial growth factors. The experimental results show that Angptl3 and Angptl4 function to regulate circulating triglyceride levels during different nutritional states and therefore play a role in lipid metabolism during feeding/fasting through differential inhibition of Lipoprotein lipase (LPL). Recombinant human ANGPTL3, expressed with an N-terminal His-tag, is a 26 kDa polypeptide containing 207 amino acid residues of the human ANGPTL3 and 16 additional amino acid residues.

Formulation
Sterile-filtered, white, lyophilized (freeze-dried)powder. Lyophilized from a 0.5 mg/ml solution in 0.05 M acetate buffer (pH 4).
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening vial. For reconstitution, add 0.2 ml of 0.1 M acetate buffer (pH 4) and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely. For conversion into a higher pH value, we recommend intensive dilution with the relevant buffer to a concentration of 10 μg/ml. At higher concentrations the solubility of this antigen is limited. This solution can then be stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized protein is best stored desiccated at -20°C. It should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
