Description
The Immortalized Baby Mouse Kidney Epithelial Cells (iBMK, Clone W2) is derived by co-expression of adenovirus E1A and dominant-negative p53 (p53DD). In addition to its non-tumorigenicity, this cell line maintains its primary phenotype and expresses epithelial-specific markers such as E-cadherin, cytokeratin 8 and 18. Together with Bax Knockdown iBMK, Bak Knockdown iBMK and Bax/Bak Double Knockdown iBMK, these cell lines form the ideal system for studying mechanisms regulating apoptosis. In the same way, when paired with Atg5 Knockdown iBMK and Atg7 Knockdown iBMK, they present an attractive model for investigating the relationship between autophagy and metabolism homeostasis.
